Position: Children’s Director

​

We seek a candidate who is above reproach and has Christ-like character and is an example for the
flock. The candidate must be able to biblically proclaim, explain and lead children to apply the truth of
the Word. Experience working with Asian-American children and their families, and
speaking/understanding Mandarin are strongly preferred.

Church and Ministry Description

Living Water Evangelical Church (LWEC) is a non-denominational Christian church with 650+ in
attendance. LWEC is a predominantly Chinese-American Church with services in Mandarin and English.
The Children's Ministry has an average attendance of 50 children.

Responsibilities

 

• Coordinate and organize established programs and ministry for children ages birth – 5th grade, including Sunday mornings, Friday night AWANA club, summer programs, and special events.

• Order and prepare curriculum and supplies for each program

• Facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth in Christ.

• Recruit, train, schedule, and lead teams of volunteers.

• Coordinate with all Children’s Ministry Co-workers and lead weekly planning and prayer 
  meetings.

• Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families.

• Work together with the Pastors and staff

• Serve in the Bible teaching and worship leading rotation

Qualifications

 

• Born-again Christian who is called by God into ministry

• Passionate for children and families

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to build and lead volunteer teams

• University graduate with a concentration in ministry or education
